公祭儀式完成後，眾人與民主之樹下的“民主之墓”合照。

一批非政府組織成員，週六（3月28日）在清明節前夕到“民主之樹”公祭，同時在民主紀念碑原址設立“民主之墓”。

這批人也就地取材，用一塊硬化的洋灰作為墓碑，特設一個寫上“馬來西亞民主死亡”的紙製靈位，同時進行獻花和宣讀祭文。

大約30名非政府組織成員，是於週六上午10點聚集在霹靂州政府大廈附近的民主之樹，並分工合作清理民主之樹和5棵民主小樹附近的垃圾。

寫上“馬來西亞民主死亡”的紙製靈位，是由大馬興漢社一名會員帶來，以便放在“民主之墓”上；另一名出席者則帶來寫上“不准點燈，只許放火”的海報。

霹靂華社聯合會主席湯毅率領眾人宣讀祭文和高喊三聲“還吾河山”後，由他本身、興漢社會長岑啟銘和霹靂老友聯誼會理事李亞志，代表眾人向“民主之墓”獻花後，即完成了公祭，整個過程歷時15分鐘。

行動黨德賓丁宜區州議員黃文標、公正黨迪渣區州議員鄭立慷受邀出席。近打西區前縣議員陳鳳玲、公正黨社會關係局顧問郭緒益等也向出席者索取簽名，以示支持“解散州議會、還政予民”簽名運動。
