20081002_班台 宗教团体应当发挥更多的社会责任及义务，在社会发展的过程中提供关怀及爱护，真正体现存在的价值。 霹雳 州高级行政议员拿督倪可汉表示，在社会发展过程中，许多宗教组织皆扮演了各自的角色，而实兆远早期开埠过程主要是由许多牧师及教会主持，尤其关注地方上的教育发展，注重人格的培养，因此培育了不少的人才，在各个领域皆有杰出的表现。 倪可汉是在为班台卫理公会主持卫星公园凉亭启用礼上致词时这么表示。该凉亭是由班台卫理公会推动，在班台卫星园主要的休闲公园所设立，除了凉亭及桌椅，更设有寰宇卫视台，让居民闲时可在该凉亭乘凉之外，也可观赏电视节目。此项目耗费 2 万令吉。 倪可汉也在会上宣布他与倪可敏行政议员联合拨款 6000 令吉，协助有关活动的进行。班台卫理公会主理郭进吟牧师也在会上发表谈话。当天有超过百位来自吉隆坡的教友出席启用礼，同时社区超过 300 人出席有关活动，并参与晚间的歌唱等节目。 倪可汉强调，所有的宗教团体都要反思存在的价值，社团的存在要对社区人民带来福利，而不应该是为了每年办一次宴会而存在。 因此他呼吁社团组织为了社区的和谐与生活的安定，要尽量发挥各自的角色，在各方面互相合作，让人民生活更好。
