2008-10-04_實兆遠 霹靂州高級行政議員拿督倪可漢呼吁曼絨居民要全力配合清除住家、商店等地方的積水，消滅蚊蟲繁殖溫床，齊心協力共同對抗日益嚴重的蚊症。 倪可漢週五（3日）發表文告說，他已指示曼絨衛生部到曼絨蚊症黑區及更多住宅、店舖等地方噴藥，並且調查住家是否有蚊子幼蟲繁殖。 他說，住戶或業者若長期出坡不在家，應該注意將家裡會盛水的器皿收好，以確保無人在家的時間內，不會有積水導致蚊子滋生。 養燕業者應檢查水池 除了住家、店舖，曼絨市內眾多養燕業者也要配合檢查燕屋內水池、久沒使用的抽水馬桶是否有蚊子繁殖；建築工地發展商也要勤於檢查工地內的積水、儲水桶等工具 。 他也呼吁油棕園主儘量不要放置太多儲水桶在油棕園內，並且一定要注意加蓋；橡膠園主也要注意沒有割膠的時候，膠杯要倒置以免積水，芭地內的河溝等也要維持流水順暢。 另一方面，曼絨市議會及縣署也會配合清掃公共地方的衛生，維護公共地區的清潔。 住家積水養蚊將接罰單 “衛生部將會配合市議會等部門進行逐戶檢查，一旦發現住家積水有蚊子幼蟲孑孓，將會開出罰單而不予例外。” 倪可漢希望曼絨所有市民在這個時刻能發揮守望相助的精神，共同維護衛生、健康的生活環境，畢竟這是大家共同的社會責任，全力合作才能有效控制不讓這個疾病繼續發生。
